Many patients who need to see their physician are unable to do so because they cannot leave their homes. Dr. Lewis-Senior can help these homebound patients to get the care they need in their homes.
Dr. Lewis-Senior can become the primary care physician for some patients or will work with the patient’s and/ or family’s existing primary care doctor.
A home visit involves a comprehensive physical/mental/emotional examination and subsequent follow-up visits.
The initial home visits last approximately 1½ hr. Dr. Lewis-Senior uses a variety of natural approaches

to Disease management.
Dr. Lewis-Senior operates in close cooperation with other area visiting nurse associations, Quest Diagnostics and Connecticut Mobile Diagnostics, to provide a broad range of in-home services.
Emergency Procedure
Patients are advised to call 911 for any medical emergency requiring immediate assistance.
If hospitalization in necessary, patient and family can select their preferred hospital, immediate care will be provided by Hospital Specialists, physicians specializing in the care of patients who are in the hospital. Dr. Lewis-Senior will continue to provide private consultation and will be willing to discuss care issues with hospital specialist if the patient/family consents.

Who May Use This Program
Dr. Lewis-Senior accepts patients:
• who are 55 or older; AND
• whose healthcare insurance will cover
the cost of the program for the services
rendered, or who will pay out of
pocket; AND
• who are housebound and, for physical
or mental health reasons, cannot get
to their doctor’s office.
 Days of Operation
House calls are by appointment only. Patients may call Dr. Lewis-Senior with any questions or concerns but will need to allow a 24 hour response time. |
